By Plane:
Every German airline, in addition to most international ones, offer flights to Hamburg Airport. The airport is well-connected via the S-Bahn (suburban railway) S1.

Going on to the University or the CCH:
1.Taxi: Taxi stands are located in front of Terminal 1. Travelling to the university or to the CCH/exhibition centre takes about 25 minutes (depending on the time of the day) and costs approx. 20 €.
2. Public Transport: To travel from the airport to “Dammtor" railway station (and on to the university and CCH/exhibition centre), take the suburban train "S 1", direction Wedel or Blankenese, get off at Hamburg main station and change either to the suburban train "S 21" direction Elbgaustraße, "S 11" direction Blankenese or "S 31" direction Altona. By Train:
The German railway "Deutsche Bahn" runs four long-distance railway stations in Hamburg. ICE and regional trains stop at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main station), Hamburg Dammtor (University and CCH / exhibition centre), Hamburg-Altona and Hamburg-Harburg.

By Car:
Hamburg is a major traffic intersection. You can approach the Hanseatic city from every direction by car. The motorways A7 (North-South expressway), A1 (Bremen – Lübeck), A24 (Berlin – Hamburg) and A23 (from the Heide) all lead to Hamburg.

Public Local Transport:
The city’s transport company, "Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV)", provides the means to be mobile in and around Hamburg. The HVV runs a complex system of suburban trains and buses. Several underground and suburban lines, buses and harbour ferryboats are at the service of locals and visitors.
