Call for Abstracts

The deadline for submission has expired.


All abstracts must be submitted in English only, because the scientific committee is international. 

Submission Documents Required:


Curriculum Vitae / Biographical Sketch
for the presenter limited to 2000 characters which includes (please note, there is only one main presenter and up to 3 co-presenters): 

  • Degrees received, when and in which subject, specifying the name of the university/ college 
  • Short List of publications
  • Previous presentations at conferences
  • Highest level of EMDR experience (e.g. EMDR Practitioner / EMDR Consultant)
  • Is it your first application at an EMDR European Conference?


Abstract
limited to 3000 characters which includes:

  • An outline/ description of the content that you wish to present at the EMDR Europe 2010 Conference. (Please be as specific as possible about how your presentation relates to EMDR)
  • Submit 3 (max 5) learning objectives what new skills or knowledge the participant will have acquired upon completion of your presentation.
  • A short statement indicating what is new, unique, and/or innovative about the material you wish to present. 
  • It is possible to include tables graphic files (GIF, JPEG and PNG) into the abstract.


Guideline Instruction for Authors:

  • All abstracts will be subjected to peer-review by members of the EMDR Europe Conference Scientific Committee. 
  • Submissions are possible online only. Abstract-Submission
  • All abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Incorrect or incomplete submissions cannot be considered by the Scientific Committee until they are complete and definitive.
  • Acceptance of abstracts will be based upon both their scientific and technical qualities as well as the clarity of presentation.
  • Authors are requested to indicate a preference for a specific type of presentation (Symposia, Workshop or Poster) and the academic level (Introductory, Intermediate or Advanced)
  • Guidelines for both Oral and Poster presentation will be sent upon acceptance for inclusion within the EMDR Europe Hamburg 2010 Conference Programme.

Please note that on behalf of the EMDR Europe Scientific Conference Committee it may not be possible to accept all qualified abstracts for oral presentation.

The submission of an abstract, including all relevant parties (co-presenters) connected with the abstract, does not constitute registration for the conference. Registration requires completion of the appropriate registration form and arrangements for the payments of fees.

An individual submitting their proposal agrees that all work presented at the EMDR-Europe Conference must conform to discipline-appropriate national or professional ethical standards. Confirmation of adherence to this requirement is part of the proposal submission process.
