Conference Party, Sat 12 June 2010 starting 7.30 p.m.

(Kultur- und Gewerbespeicher)

You are invited to the heart of the world trade metropolis: Hamburg’s Speicherstadt, an historic warehouse district with bridges, characteristic tidal waterways called "Fleeten", historical office buildings (Kontorhäuser) smelling of exotic spices – the ideal setting for a wonderful conference party. Due to its unique location between the traditional Hamburg Harbour and the growing, modern Hafen City, the Kultur- und Gewerbespeicher now finds itself at the heart of Hamburg’s new city centre. When dusk falls, a mysterious aura emerges in Hamburg Speicherstadt: More than 800 spotlights artfully illuminate the red brick buildings and steel bridges.

When looking outside, guests have an enchanting view of wrought-iron bridge railings, gable windows, bay windows and launch boats peacefully cruising the waterways. Inside, carefully restored rooms with typical wooden flooring, open steel girders, ceiling beams and lattice windows provide an authentic atmosphere.

Chef Frank Crivellari and his team are responsible for the culinary delights. The chef’s Italian roots and the cuisine of Northern Germany merge in a wonderful way – you will be surprised by the buffet’s rich variety! Apart from the culinary delights, the Conference Party will provide many opportunities for sharing experiences and ideas with colleagues and shaking a leg later in the evening.

Apart from the culinary delights, the Conference Party will provide a real surprise. The Band named Buckwheat and plays the hottest Funky Sound on earth. They played in Amsterdam last year at the EMDR Conference and we all were very thrilled of this performance. The best Band for a swinging Dancenight.
