Dear Colleagues and Friends
The European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ESTSS) is very pleased to be collaborating with EMDR Europe and extends a warm welcome to all of you attending the 11th European EMDR Conference here in Hamburg.
The ESTSS is the European network for professionals in the field of psychotraumatology. ESTSS aims to ensure that all aspects of traumatic stress, and its many repercussions, are given due consideration by academic bodies, health care professionals and statutory organisations. Since the ESTSS seeks to facilitate communication between individuals who work in the field of psychotraumatology as its President I am wholly supportive of international meetings like the current EMDR Europe meeting “Trauma and Beyond”. These meetings allow likeminded professionals to share their experiences, ideas and the results of their work and I am personally delighted to be able to attend this meeting.
ESTSS is also very pleased to be running three workshops at this meeting which are eligible for the ESTSS General Certificate in Psychotraumatology. (Full details of how to register for the certificate are available on the ESTSS website: www.estss.org). These workshops are:
- Friday 11th June - ESTSS Workshop 2:
Rita Rosner - Treatment of PTSD in Children and Adolescents - Sunday 13th June - ESTSS Workshop 4:
Brigitte Lueger Schuster, Miranda Olff - Early Intervention following Traumatic Events - Sunday 13th June - ESTSS Workshop 5:
Erik de Soir - First Psychological Aid & Rapid Stabilization Techniques
We look forward to meeting you all at a wonderful Conference in the city of Hamburg!
Sincerely,
Miranda Olff (President of ESTSS) on behalf of the ESTSS board.
